Tuesday 22nd September Bedfont Sports
With a high turnover of players over the last week and with players returning, new players signed and still settling in, Tuesday night was going to be another difficult game against our local rivals with a number of familiar names in their line-up.
We felt overall that a draw was probably the right result in the end. The 1st half, we were certainly the better side and should really have gone in with more than just the one goal advantage; our goal taken extremely well by the returning Rob Smith “Smudger”.
The 2nd half, Bedfont came more into the game and scored with a neat move and finish. Our defence had to work hard and overall, have been superb in the last two matches. It took a great save from newly signed Dane Buss, coupled with our midfield and forwards working tirelessly, playing their part in ensuring the points were shared. Its early days but a good reaction from the boys, this needs to continue in what will be another tough encounter today.
Up the Spelly!!
