Spelthorne Sports secured an impressive 2–1 home victory over promotion-chasing Brook House on Saturday afternoon at Spelthorne Sports Ground.

Sean McDonnell proved the difference for The Spelly, scoring twice to give the hosts control of the fixture. His first arrived in the 37th minute before doubling the advantage shortly after the break in the 57th minute.

Brook House pulled a goal back through Trey Pender-Brown in the 82nd minute, setting up a tense final period, but Spelthorne remained organised to see out the match and secure all three points.

The result marks an important win against one of the division’s strongest sides and continues Spelthorne’s recent positive momentum following their away victory earlier in the week.
