Sport has always been more than just a game. It’s a way to bring people together, teach discipline, and provide a sense of belonging—especially for young people who might otherwise be drawn into trouble. That’s exactly what we strive to do at Spelthorne Sports FC, and this weekend, we took another step forward.
With the help of our amazing parents, coaches, and volunteers, we’ve started building the foundations for our new dugouts—funded through a grant supported by local MP Harry Boparai. His commitment to investing in youth sport is something we value deeply, and his backing of this project highlights the importance of giving young people safe, positive spaces to grow.
Having access to a strong community and a structured environment can make all the difference. Football teaches teamwork, respect, and resilience—qualities that go beyond the pitch and into everyday life. By keeping kids engaged in sport, we’re helping them develop confidence, build friendships, and stay on the right track.
In just a few weeks, we’ll be unveiling the finished dugouts, another step in making Spelthorne Sports FC a place where young people can thrive. Stay tuned for the big reveal!
