First Team Management – 2025/26 Season
As we prepare for the 2025/26 campaign, Spelthorne Sports FC confirms its First Team management structure and an evolved pathway from youth to senior football.
Myles Hook continues as First Team Manager, leading the side into his third season. Supporting him this year is a reshaped and strengthened off-pitch team:
• Darren Lake is promoted to Assistant Manager, after joining as coach last season.
• Matt Bowers joins as First Team Coach, having recently played for Banstead Athletic and Molesey.
• Chris Flowers arrives from Feltham FC, also as First Team Coach.
• Fred Little comes on board as First Team Kit Manager.
A thank you goes to Dan Green, who steps back from his coaching duties while continuing in his existing position as Vice Chairman. Dan’s work across the past two seasons — including securing key grants and overseeing off-the-pitch developments — has been a vital part of the club’s ongoing progress.

Chairman’s Statement – Andy Lee
“Last season was a massive learning curve for us all. Competing in a tough league, with little to no resources and no playing budget, was always going to be a challenge.
We could have used what little we had on players, but instead we made a choice: to invest in infrastructure. With ground grading issues needing urgent attention, we prioritised improvements for the long-term.
Now, with funding secured and work underway, we’re providing Myles and his team with the foundations to build properly. It’s time to reset, rebuild, and look ahead. We’re committed to something sustainable and ambitious here.”

Player Pathway: From Youth to First Team
This season sees the formal development of a clear pathway for youth players to progress through the club.
A new connection has been formed between our U18s and AFC Spelthorne, offering competitive senior football experience to bridge the gap into the First Team. This structure forms a consistent route from U7s all the way through to Step 6 football, reinforcing the club’s long-term commitment to development from within.
A structure that gives players real opportunities to grow, from grassroots to First Team – the pathway is now clear.
